WRITER'S STATEMENT
I am head over heels, madly in love with, and endlessly fascinated by human beings. I can’t get enough of the contradictions they carry, the stories they tell themselves, and the tiny details that reveal what makes them unique.
I believe every character has an inner life rich enough to carry a series. Even the coat-check girl has a point of view, a history, and a dream she’s carrying home after work. Those details are what make a story feel alive to me.
Humor (especially dark humor and satire) is another passion of mine. I love exploring profound emotional truths through comedy. Laughter has a way of disarming us, allowing us to look at the parts of ourselves we tend to avoid with a little more compassion. My work often lives at the intersection of comedy and heartache, where humor gives pain somewhere new to live.
Again and again, I find myself writing about characters who are quietly waking up to themselves. Whether they’re confronting shame, family expectations, addiction, body image, or the roles they’ve been assigned, I’m interested in the moment someone realizes that the story they’ve been living is one they have the power to rewrite.
While my stories often begin with deeply personal questions, my hope is that they ultimately feel universal. I want audiences to leave feeling less alone, more curious about themselves, and more connected to one another.
To me, that’s where storytelling becomes something more than entertainment. It becomes an invitation to be more conscious, more compassionate, and a little more connected during our brief time together on Earth.
